More than 200 Christian leaders from across Europe met in Tirana, Albania, for the European Leadership Forum (ELF) from May 13 to 17. The forum is an annual event that aims to unite, equip and resource evangelical leaders to renew the biblical church and evangelise Europe.
The forum featured plenary sessions, workshops, mentoring groups and networking opportunities for leaders from different backgrounds, denominations and ministries. The speakers included prominent theologians, apologists, pastors and missionaries who addressed topics such as biblical preaching, church planting, discipleship, evangelism, leadership development and cultural engagement.
The forum also celebrated its 20th anniversary this year and highlighted its vision of creating a movement of national and regional forums across Europe. These forums are based on the ELF model but are adapted to the specific needs and contexts of each country or region. They provide year-round training and mentoring for local leaders in their own languages.
One of the national forums that participated in the ELF was the Albanian Leadership Forum (ALF), which was founded in 2018 and serves evangelical leaders from Albania, Kosovo and other neighbouring countries. The ALF director, Zefjan Nikola, said that the forum is “the single most appreciated meeting point of ethnic Albanian evangelical leaders” and that it has helped them to grow in their faith and ministry.
The ELF is a coalition of evangelical Christian groups that seeks to do what no single organisation could do alone: provide a bridge between God’s global resources and local leaders from all over Europe. The forum has more than 1,000 participants each year and has a network of more than 10,000 leaders across Europe.
