A Dunedin church is holding Sunday services outside after a fire damaged the building last week.
Coastal Christian Church was evacuated early Wednesday morning after a fire started in a dumpster next door. The flames spread to the church, causing extensive damage.
The church's thrift store and the "Sweet Peas" preschool next door were also damaged.
Despite the fire, Pastor Jerry Rittenhouse said the church is determined to continue its mission.
"We're going to rebuild," Rittenhouse said. "We're going to come back stronger than ever."
On Sunday, the church held its first service outside. Worshippers gathered under tents and in lawn chairs to sing and pray.
Rittenhouse said the fire was a reminder of the importance of community.
"We're so grateful for the outpouring of support from our community," Rittenhouse said. "It's been amazing."
The church is still assessing the damage and is working to determine how much it will cost to rebuild.
In the meantime, the church is asking for donations to help with the cost of repairs.

The church is also looking for volunteers to help with the cleanup and rebuilding efforts.
